Description

The ultimate snickers oatmeal recipe that is dangerously delicious! Completely natural and plant-based, this sugar-free rich deliciousness is pretty damn close to the original Snickers bar taste wise. Must-try for sure!


Ingredients

For the caramel:

7 dates (about 50 gr) soaked in warm water for at least 10 min

50 ml warm water

pinch of salt

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tbsp creamy peanut butter

For the chocolate oatmeal:

1 cup oats (I use quick oats)

1 cup water

1 cup plant milk (I use soy milk)

1 tbsp cacao powder

1/2 mashed banana (optional, for sweetness)

1/4 tsp cinnamon

Toppings:

small handful crushed peanuts


Instructions

  1. To make the caramel sauce, blend all the ingredients for the caramel in a high-speed blender until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Combine all the oatmeal ingredients in a pan and bring to a simmer. Stir the oats on the medium-high heat until all the liquid is soaked and they become thick and creamy. Takes about 5 minutes for quick cooking oats.
  3. Pour the oatmeal into a serving bowl, drizzle with caramel and top with peanuts.
